Review of Saying Goodbye to the Sun

Saying Goodbye to the Sun
by David McAfee

Is there such a thing as love at first sight? Vincent finds that it must be possible as he cannot get Raine out of his mind after meeting her briefly. But IS it true love or just the dazzling effect that vampires have over humans?

During the throws of passion, Raine accidently bites Vincent and begins the process of his turning. She leaves him, alone and confused, to fend for himself while she flees from the Council, a fugitive for having turned Vincent without permission.

Vincent hadn't believed Raine's tale of vamipirism. He would quickly learn just how true the myths really were. Told in first person from Vincent's point of view, Saying Goodbye to the Sun is an interesting what if scenario. What would you do if you woke up one morning, with no memory of the night before, experiencing hypersensitivity to sunlight and craving raw meat? An interesting read despite the numerous editing errors.
