|The Jungle Book|
by Rudyard Kipling
Genre: Children, Classic
Surprisingly, this book contains more than the story of little Mowgli that Disney chose to portray in the animated classic movie of the same title. This is actually a collection of short stories that revolve around an assortment of animals.
The third story is about the famous Rikki-Tikki-Tavi, a mongoose who saves his adopted human family from the evils of deadly snakes.
There are other stories that follow, and in all honesty, this was quite an enjoyable book once I muddled my way through Mowgli's tale, which I found to be quite boring and pointless.
